Angela Steyn – Interior Designer & Stylist

Angela is the esteemed principal interior designer and founder of AS&CO. Originally a lawyer, Angela discovered her true calling in the creative realm of design. With over 15 years of experience, she is known for her calm and thoughtful approach, crafting spaces that deeply resonate with her clients on a personal level.

Growing up on her family’s sheep and cattle property, Angela’s childhood was spent exploring the paddocks and outbuildings, fostering her passion for how surroundings influence wellbeing. She believes in the transformative power of beautiful, nature-inspired spaces and is committed to designing environments that bring daily joy and connection.

Guided by the principle that every design element should enhance her clients’ experience of the world, Angela creates homes that are not only functional but also emotionally enduring.

Andre Steyn – Building Designer

Andre was schooled in mid-century modernist architecture and is a proud Frank Lloyd Wright disciple. Having studied, registered, and practiced as a professional architect in South Africa, Andre later crossed the Indian Ocean to make Sydney his home.

With a deep passion for creating organic spaces that harmonize seamlessly with their surroundings, Andre believes that architecture and interior design must work in unison to deliver the most compelling outcomes for clients. A highly skilled 3D CAD and BIM practitioner with over 20 years’ building experience, he loves surprising clients with ideas they could never have imagined possible.
